BTA
MOTORSPORTS SUMMER CRUISE -
FEB 10th, 2008
Awesome sun, awesome cars and awesome people saw out the
Summer Cruise of 2008 with BTA Motorsports on Sunday
February 24 from their workshop in Campsie over to the
Foreshore Park in Newcastle.
With the late postponing of the cruise which was originally
to be held on March 10, Ali & the BTA crew were a
little worried about spoiling such a great deal of fun and a
terrific atmosphere. Not to worry though as the cruisers and revheads were out to enjoy the roads and the sun for a great
cruise and lapping up some great scenery along the way.
It
was on for young and old as the rivalry between our great
Australian makes Holden and Ford was strong with a great mix
of mild to wild Falcons and Commodores out to go head to
head to take out the best presented car awards that was
being held on Sunday. Rest easy though - the day was for
cruising and that's just what went down! Lapping up the
attention was a plethora of clean rides including a
beautiful purple VN sporting the plates ‘RD2HVN’ as well as
a mean looking VK Commodore rolling on a set of Simmons with
one nasty looking air filter popping its head out for all to
see. ‘CU2NTE’s VT also gets the nod of approval as the pick
of the number plates of the day from AutoEVENTS.
BTA and Sundays cruise goers
were also graced with the presence of a few snap happy
photographers from various auto magazines such as
Performance Ford and Street Commodores so be sure to keep
your eye out for some class shots from the day - it could
just be one of yours gracing their pages! The two
photographers kept themselves busy all day taking shots from
all different angles and views, a great way to get some good
exposure for sure!
There
were also a few lucky cruisers who won some great prizes
with thanks to BTA Motorsports as well as the cruise sponsor
SpeedPro. 3 lucky cars took out the best presented car
awards for the day for polishing up their rides to shine for
the day as well as a lucky ticket holder taking home $500 in
cash as presented by SpeedPro in the ticket raffle. Bet
you’re wishing you had have gone now!
A great day had by all, and we're all looking forward to
seeing future cruises from BTA! Stay tuned as you’re sure to
see these events posted up in the future on
AutoEvents.com.au!
